Crop Transition Conference set for June in Minnesota

The 2024 Crop Transition Conference, hosted by the United Potato Growers of America, will be held June 19-20 in Minneapolis.

The conference, which offers an overview of the upcoming growing season, mainly in the fresh market, is open to all growers and free of charge. This year’s event features a new session called the Second Season Conference, which will bring together industry leaders to explore innovations and best practices in potato storage.

All meetings will be held at the Crowne Plaza Suites MSP Airport-Mall of America at 3 Appletree Square.

Registration is available online. A Zoom link will be provided for those unable to attend.

The event is sponsored by AMVAC, the National United Potato Partner, as well as John Deere, Volm Companies and 1,4 Group.

Wednesday, June 19

Noon: United luncheon (United members only)

1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: S&D committee and board of directors meeting (United members only)

4:45 p.m.: welcome reception

6:40 p.m.: Tampa Bay Rays at Minnesota Twins

Thursday, June 20

8 a.m.: continental breakfast

8:30 a.m.: Crop Transition Conference

11:45 a.m.: lunch

12:30 p.m.: Second Season Conference

2:30 p.m.: conference ends
