Crop Shuttle 3600 series increases field versatility

Safe-T-Pull, the manufacturers of the hitch system and towing accessory to pull stuck vehicles and equipment in tough field conditions, and Crop Shuttle now offers additional field versatility with its Crop Shuttle 3600 cart. It features a self-loading seed filler, which is a jointed conveyor and stinger that folds down over the top of the cart’s rear gate. This self-loading system is said by Safe-T-Pull to eliminate the need for additional conveyors and generators in the field.

The Crop Shuttle 3600 holds 600 cwt. of potato seed, reducing the amount of trucks needed to deliver seed to the field. The self-loading conveyor floats over a flat conveyor, which loads the seed over the entire length of the cart’s bed. An adjustable shield can be moved by equipment operators forward and aft along this conveyor, to control piling of the seed, to balance and even the load in the cart.

A boom at the front of the Crop Shuttle cart is used to offload the seed into potato planters. Two hydraulic rams are used to lift the front of the cart, elevating it above the planter’s hopper for loading.

The Crop Shuttle 3600’s conveyors are removable, to make the transition from planting to harvesting. According to Safe-T-Pull, the Crop Shuttle has been used in the harvest of potatoes, sugar beets, carrots, cucumbers, pickles, corn silage, onions, tomatoes and seed corn. It also can be used in the transport and handling of agriculture materials like lime or other bulk soil amendments.
