Course to provide grant writing info to food, farming entrepreneurs

Michigan food entrepreneurs and farm business owners can learn more about grant writing and funding opportunities through a new course offered by Michigan State University Extension.

The Grant Writing for Farm and Food Entrepreneurs online course is free. Developed by the MSU Extension Community Food Systems team and the MSU Product Center, the course will cover the common components of grant proposals.

Participants will write a complete grant proposal outline during the course.

Current and upcoming grant opportunities for farmers and food businesses in Michigan can be found in the Funding Sources for Food-Related Businesses resource from the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems.

More information is available online.
