In September, Cottom Seed purchased the Skone and Connors Seed operation in Dillon, Mont. The company is now named Cottom Seed, Inc.
Cottom Seed is operated by Bill Cottom and sons, Steve and David, along with their wives, Dixie, Cathy and Lesli.
Currently, three generations are involved in the operation of the farm, which stresses rotations as long as seven years or potatoes twice in nine years. With over 75 years of continuous seed production in the family, their goal is to deliver the same high-quality seed their customers have come to rely.
