Jun 25, 2024Colorado Potato Administrative Committee executive director retiring; new leader sought
Jim Ehrlich, longtime executive director of the Colorado Potato Administrative Committee, is retiring this fall, and the organization is seeking a new leader.
Founded in 1941 to support local potato growers and shippers, CPAC helps set quality standards and promotes innovation in sustainability, best practices, research and marketing.
With growers from the San Luis Valley and beyond, CPAC has overseen expansion into new varieties of potatoes and a multi-level inspection process that ensures the more than two billion pounds of potatoes grown annually in Colorado are the highest quality possible.
Applications for the executive director position will remain open until the position is filled, but priority will be given to those received by July 15.
To apply, email a cover letter, resume and at least two professional references to [email protected] and include “Executive Director” in the subject line. Applicants will be notified prior to references being contacted.
Ehrlich, a 2024 Spudman Impact Awards recipient, has been with CPAC since 2006. He is a former regional manager and agronomist at Coors Brewing Co. and owned and operated JDE Farms from 1983-1996. He has a bachelor’s degree in agronomy and crop science from Colorado State University.
