Boyle named IGSA president

Shawn D. Boyle was recently named president of the Idaho Grower Shippers Association. He succeeds Mark Klompien who left the organization in November to become president and CEO of United Potato Growers of America.

Boyle has worked five years as a licensed attorney with Brad Hall & Associates, Inc., serving petroleum, transportation and farming organizations. He holds a juris doctorate degree from the University of Idaho, and bachelor of science in business management from Brigham Young University – Idaho.

During the 2011 Idaho state legislative session, Boyle served as an extern for the senate majority leadership. He looks forward to serving as an advocate for the potato industry in Idaho and Washington, D.C.

Boyle will be welcomed in a reception at the IGSA office in Idaho Falls, Wednesday, February 8th, from 1 – 4 pm.
