Aldi has issued a recall on a potato product because it contains milk not mentioned on the label, posing a possible risk to those with a milk allergy or intolerance.
Aldi has also issued a point-of-sale notice (.pdf).
The recall applies to Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter in the 385-gram pack size across England, Scotland and Wales, according to multiple UK media reports.
The Food Standards Agency warned consumers not to eat the affected food. Customers are asked to return the product to their nearest Aldi store, where they will receive a full refund.
“We apologize that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation,” Aldi said in a statement.
