AGCO begins expansion

AGCO has begun a $42 million expansion at its Jackson, Minn., manufacturing center.

The three-year project is broken down into seven phases. The first phase, scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2013 includes a 30,000-square-foot expansion of the component manufacturing area, increasing capacity by 20 percent.

Once completed, the expansion will increase production capacity by 25 percent for both the tractor and sprayer assembly lines. An additional 75 jobs will be created, bringing total employees to more than 1,200.
