AFS AccuTurn makes headland turning hands-free

New AccuTurn automated headland-turning technology from Case IH takes the guesswork out of turning on headlands, which gives improved accuracy and reduces operator fatigue. Using software logic from the Case IH Autonomous Concept Vehicle (ACV), this next-generation Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) autoguidance technology provides hands-free, automatic and repeatable turns for increased productivity.

This new technology automatically controls the entire headland-turning process and works in navigating expansive open spaces or smaller, irregular fields. In fact, this system is said to be able to set up for agronomically correct layouts that can be precisely followed throughout the crop production cycle, from planting through harvesting.

During the initial launch, AccuTurn is available for any new and existing Case IH Steiger, Magnum, Optum, Puma or Maxxum series AccuGuide autoguidance equipped tractors with an AFS 262/372 receiver, NAV II/ NAV III controller and AFS Pro 700 display.
