Proposals sought to showcase at Potato Expo 2024

The Potato Expo Steering Committee is seeking proposals showcasing potato-related advancements in production agriculture to feature at the Potato Expo 2024.

The expo, to be held Jan. 10-11 in Austin, Texas, will feature three stages to help highlight proposals featuring on-farm solutions, focusing on current trends or providing inspiration.

Submission forms are available online and due by Sept. 8. Sessions will not be accepted if speakers are to be determined.

Stages

Potato Talk on the Expo Stage: All sessions will be 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes of one-on-one Q&A. Sessions can be a single speaker or panel discussion (max of three, including moderator).

Discussions at the Cultivation Corner: Sessions will focus on topics including production, consumers, research and technology. All sessions will be between 30-40 minutes. Sessions can be a single speaker or panel discussion (max of four, including moderator).

Policy Discussion/Member Update on the NPC Stage: Sessions will be held in a new National Potato Council Pavilion in the Expo Hall. Sessions will focus on such topics as labor, trade, transportation and the farm bill. NPC sustaining members can also submit a session for the NPC Stage to provide product or services updates or Q&As. All sessions will be between 20-30 minutes, including Q&A. Sessions can be a single speaker or panel discussion (max of three, including moderator).

The expo is also warning attendees not to book reservations or share information through any representative claiming to represent the expo or offering hotel discounts. Registration for the event opens Sept. 15, and rooms should only be booked through a link and phone number which will be provided by the expo.
