Late blight reported in Wisconsin

On June 23, 2015 late blight was confirmed in a commercial potato field in northern Adams County in Wisconsin.

According to Amanda Gevens, University of Wisconsin-Madison assistant professor and Extension vegetable plant pathologist, the field was at 40 percent emergence and the disease appeared to have been initiated by seedborne inoculum.
