Syngenta potato blight hotlines deliver insights to growers

Long-standing partnerships between Syngenta and key researchers on the potato blight hotlines continue in 2017. The hotlines provide growers in Idaho, Michigan, North Dakota, Oregon and Washington access to local information about disease pressures. As in years past, advice from area experts on weather conditions, disease-control measures and infection confirmations is just a phone call away.

This year, in an effort to make updates available faster than ever, growers can subscribe to receive text messages alerting them when the hotlines they choose are updated.

“These researchers communicate a great deal of valuable information through the hotlines,” said Kiran Shetty, Syngenta technical development lead. “Timing is crucial to disease management, so the sooner Syngenta can provide their insights to growers the better.”
