Little Potato Company celebrates Wisconsin facility opening

The Little Potato Company recently celebrated the official grand opening of its new U.S. processing facility in DeForest, near Madison, Wisconsin.

The company’s first U.S. facility employs 100 people and represents over a $20 million investment. This new facility will allow The Little Potato Company, which was founded just over 20 years ago, to expand the availability of its Creamer potatoes throughout the U.S.

The celebration, which took place Thursday, July 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., included a brief presentation from Angela Santiago, CEO and co-founder. Santiago shared the history of The Little Potato Company, a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting and a tour of the production facility.

The Little Potato Company specializes in Creamer varieties including their exclusive Baby Boomer, Blushing Belle, Something Blue and Terrific Trio varieties.

The Little Potato Company’s Creamers are carried by retailers and grocers across the U.S. The company expects continued growth in response to increasing demand for its Creamers, and anticipates adding about 30 more people to its team by the end of 2017.

The company is also working with several local Wisconsin potato growers to ensure a steady supply of Creamer potatoes from its new 130,000 square-foot facility.

The Little Potato Company maintains distribution centers and a grower network throughout the U.S. and Canada to serve customers across these markets.
