Idaho Potato Commission launches Potato 101 website

The Idaho Potato Commission has launched a new website to offer consumers information about everything potato.

Potato 101 offers content that includes a brief history of Idaho potatoes, FAQs, nutritional benefits and a guide to storing, handling and preparing spuds.

“With Potato 101, we wanted to create an all-inclusive space where anyone, from a culinary student or an accomplished chef, to someone making their first baked potato, could find answers to their questions,” said Don Odiorne, vice president, Foodservice, IPC. “The website showcases a variety of techniques for cooking potatoes that are suitable for a range of skill sets and presented in an engaging and easy-to-follow format.”

Highlights include 23 short instructional videos featuring concepts such as storing and cleaning potatoes, as well as more advanced techniques like creating potato ribbons and curls.
