WSPC sponsors soil fumigation training

The Washington State Potato Commission (WSPC) and Tom Hoffman are sponsoring training on the new Phase II soil fumigant label requirements.

Growers reliant on soil fumigants need to be aware of the potential impact that the Phase II labeling requirements will have on their operations.

Those who already have a WSDA pesticide applicator’s license and wish to take the new soil fumigation RMM exam should indicate this when confirming their registration. The course will not address the information on the test, and participants will need to read and study the soil fumigation manual independently. Study manuals can be obtained from WSU Publications prior to testing.

The training course will take place at 8 a.m. November 29 at the Best Western in Moses Lake, Wash. Registration forms are available from the WSPC and must be received by November 26. Call (509) 765-8845 or email [email protected].
