Tong Engineering will soon open a new Tong U.S. spares, service and sales facility based in Fremont, Michigan.
This comes as part of the company’s wider export strategy and is designed to make the company’s complete range of equipment, from vegetable intake hoppers, dirt eliminators, chain sizers, washers and bin fillers, even more accessible to the U.S. potato and vegetable industry.
Edward Tong, managing director at Tong Engineering said over the last couple of years business in the U.S. has significantly increased, meaning more frequent visits to the U.S. visiting customers and exhibiting at U.S. potato and vegetable events.
The new Tong office in Fremont will provide additional support to Tong U.S. customers; strengthening spares and service backup with a wide range of spare parts available with a quick turnaround when they are needed the most.
Tong Engineering said its range of potato and vegetable handling equipment is custom built upon advanced designs with a wide range of post-harvest equipment for crop sizing, washing, polishing, bin tipping, filling and weighing.
