Jul 20, 2020Taco Bell eliminating potato items from menu
Taco Bell is eliminating potatoes from its menu later this summer.
CNN, Business Insider and several other news outlets confirmed recently that the quick-serve (QSR) giant is simplifying its menu, starting Aug. 13, which will mean the end of the long-standing Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes side dish, the Cheesy Potato Griller and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco.
The menu changes also will mean the elimination of 7-Layer Burrito, Nachos Supreme, Chips & Dips and several others.
.@Potatoes_USA‘s Toaspern on @tacobell removing #potatoes from its menu: “Because of all the (COVID) issues, they wanted to simplify their SKUs. They wanted to shortened their menu and reduce the products coming into their kitchens. Why they chose potatoes, we can’t figure out.”
