School lunch program looking for offers on dehydrated potato flakes

The USDA has opened the window for offers to sell dehydrated potatoes for use in the National School Lunch Program and other federal food and nutrition assistance programs.

The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions.

The agency will announce which offers will be accepted by midnight, Nov. 9. Deliveries need to be made between Jan. 1, 2018 and March 31, 2018.

Offers must be submitted electronically via the Web-Based Supply Chain Management System (WBSCM). The USDA said offers submitted by any other means will be deemed “nonresponsive.” Those submitting offers must be active in WBSCM and have the required bidder roles in order to submit offers under this program.

Offers are due by Oct. 26.
