Potato Sustainability Alliance names new board, executive committee members

The Potato Sustainability Alliance (PSA) has elected new members to its board and its executive committee. New 2026 board members are:
  • Jane Canales (Basic American Foods
  • Kartika Charan (Sysco)
  • JP Claassen (Claassen Farms)
  • Tony Macklin (Walther Farms)
  • Lincoln Neufeld (WJ Siemens Farming Co.)
  • Ariel Wiegard (Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever)
Members of the 2026 executive committee are:
  • Tracy Shinners-Carnelley, PSA chair (vice president of research, quality and sustainability, Peak of the Market)
  • Erika Wagner, PSA vice chair (agronomy solutions manager, Yara North America)
  • Ryan Vroegindewey (senior manager of sustainable agriculture, Campbell Soup Co.)
  • Mike Wenkel (chief operating officer, National Potato Council)
Potato Sustainability Alliance logo“These leaders bring a strong, diverse mix of industry experience, commitment to collaboration, and passion for sustainability,” Shinners-Carnelley said in a news release. “Their guidance will be instrumental as PSA continues to support growers, supply-chain partners, and stakeholders in defining and demonstrating sustainable potato production.” Dan Duguay (Canadian Produce Marketing Association) was appointed to an additional at-large board seat. PSA also extends its appreciation to retiring board members Chad Berry (Under the Hill Farms), Andy Diercks (Coloma Farms), Greg Nakamura (Nakamura Farms), and Shane Sampels (Sysco).
