NASS reports increased 2014 production

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) 2014 crop report shows an increase of 2.8 percent in U.S. production of fall potatoes in 2014. Fall production totaled 406,195,000 cwt in 2014, compared to 395,275,000 cwt. in 2013. The national yield per acre for the fall was up in 2014 with 439 cwt., compared to 425 cwt. in 2013.
