Judge Halts H-2A Rule Changes

< 1 minute read
Last night, a federal judge issued an injunction halting a change to H-2A labor rules, according to Frank Gasperini, executive vice president of the National Council of Agricultural Employers.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s suspension of new H-2A rules was supposed to go into effect at the end of this month, but the judge’s order has stopped that, at least temporarily.

Gasperini is still waiting for details, but, at least for now, growers do not have to revert back to the old H-2A rules, he said.
