GroupAg, based in Rexburg, Idaho, is now offering Forte Humidifiers and misters to service the potato industry. The units have been designed to produce a superior quality fog or fine mist, making it easier to achieve an ideal storage humidity level with less free moisture.
Forte Humidifiers accomplish three primary objectives that GroupAg was looking for to better serve the potato industry, GroupAg said through a press release:
- Reduce storage cost for the grower while increasing humidity quality
- Provide capability to be used as a chemical applicator (acids included)
- Allow for more adaptable installations through a simpler, smaller form factor
The test results over the past few years have shown to maintain an increased health of the stored potatoes by specifically reducing the incidence of pressure bruise, shoulder bruise and dehydration.
