Nov 13, 2022EPA extends comment period on cancelation of pentachloronitribenzene
The EPA granted a 45-day extension to the comment period on a Proposed Final Decision for pentachloronitrobenzene (PCNB), the active ingredient in AMVAC’s Blocker. The extension for comments to Friday, Jan. 6, came at the request of the National Potato Council (NPC) and other industry groups.
“We appreciate that the agency has provided our industry with additional time to assess the impact of controlling multiple pathogens in potato production without this product. The loss of any tool used to deliver a quality product to the marketplace needs time to determine the impact on the industry,” stated Bob Mattive, NPC vice president of environmental affairs.
