Comment period on Bravo ends April 12th

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a Biological Opinion (BiOp) evaluation on March 3, 2011 related to pesticides and their effects on Pacific Salmon and Steelhead species.

The comment period for the BiOp draft ends on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.

If the BiOp draft is approved Syngenta’s Bravo fungicide with the ingrediant Chlorothalonil could face severe restrictions.

Currently there is a concerted effort by Syngenta, the National Potato Council, and national and state agricultural organizations urging everyone impacted by the proposal to comment to the draft proposal before April 12.
