Mar 6, 2018New agreement aims to make worker protection standard easier
The Pesticide Educational Resources Collaborative (PERC) recently unveiled its new Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Compliance Assistance Library to help farmers, foresters and all involved in agricultural support navigate the standards. PERC is a new cooperative agreement between the Environmental Protection Agency Office of Pesticide Programs, and the University of California Davis in collaboration with Oregon State University.
WPS information and the assistance library can be found on their website, along with a “How to Comply” Manual.
Although new WPS regulations apply now, certain state agencies including the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) and the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries will not enforce new regulations until 2019.
