Are there any alternatives to the existing chemical
families for insect control?

— Resistance Manager in Boise, Idaho

Colorado potato beetles and lepidopteran pests send growers
scrambling for different options and variety in pest control.
The Colorado potato beetle is especially difficult to eliminate
with its inherent ability to develop resistance to a number of
chemical classes. Resistance issues can be managed by using
insecticides with more than one mode of action and alternating
applications with insecticides with different modes of action.

Voliam Flexi™ insecticide is a new chemistry available this
season. This broad-spectrum, foliar-applied product controls
key lepidopterans and sucking and chewing insect pests. It
also contains chlorantraniliprole (CTPR) and thiamethoxam
(TMX), which broaden the spectrum of insect control helping
growers fight multiple pest populations at one time. For a
more specialized program, use Voliam Flexi, Endigo® ZC
and Warrior II with Zeon Technology®, as appropriate by pest
spectrum ensuring you don’t use the same mode of action
for the entire season. This helps in controlling damaging
potato pests, including Colorado potato beetles, aphids and
lepidopteran pests.

Voliam Flexi, Endigo ZC and Warrior II with Zeon Technology
