Yara purchases Sacramento terminal

Yara has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Agrium’s West Sacramento, California, nitrogen operations for $27 million.

Yara will use the facilty as an import terminal to complement its California terminals in San Diego, Stockton and Port Hueneme.

Based in Oslo, Norway, Yara was established in 1905. Yara is a manufacturer of ammonia, nitrates, NPK and specialty fertilizers.
