U.S. Potato Board issues 2011 potato sales and utilization estimates

The U.S. Potato Board (USPB) released its 2011 potato sales and utilization estimates on Wednesday, August, 10.

The USPB press release cited two items that stood out in the report:

1)It appears that the rapid growth of non-traditional food stores, mass merchants and club stores has reached a plateau and supermarket shares have stabilized.
2)Data indicates that refrigerated potatoes have bumped up significantly in mass merchants and club stores.
