The USPB reports that total U.S. potato exports declined for the first time in over 10 years.
Total U.S. exports were $1.6 billion for FY 14 (July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015), a 7 percent decline below FY13. The FY14 total represents the third highest total revenue and second highest volume of U.S. potato exports.
Factors impacting the decline included excess European supply, a strong U.S. dollar and the U.S. West Coast port slowdown from October 2014 to February 2015.
