Trimble acquires C3 assets

Trimble announced the acquisition of C3 of Madison, Wis. The purchase of C3 enables Trimble to provide soil information and decision recommendations to farmers and agronomists.

Farmers will be able to view C3 data on Trimble’s Connected Farm dashboard.

C3 is a privately held company that combines crop information with detailed soil data for a more complete assessment of site-related factors that impact crop yield, quality and health.

C3 products include Soil Information System solution, a collection of tools and techniques for digital, 3-D mapping of soil characteristics and PurePixel Vegetation Mapping software, which provides processing of vegetative aerial imaging for crop health analysis.
