Nov 30, 2015Top Spud finalists announced for EXPO
The National Potato Council has announced the three finalists for the Spud Nation Throwdown on Jan. 12 at the POTATO EXPO 2016 at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
The Spud Nation Throwdown is a competition among three food truck chefs for the title of Top Spud,” with an award of $5,000.
Phil Lempert, “The Supermarket Guru,” will emcee the competition. Lempert discusses the competition in this video.
The three finalists are: 1) Heather Banter, Circle City Spuds, from Indianapolis, Indiana; 2) Daniel McCarthy, Tato Heads, from Columbus, Ohio; 3) Bridgett Blough, Organic Gypsy, from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
