Syngenta scholarship available

Applications now are being accepted for the fourth annual Syngenta Potato Scholarship.

The $5,000 scholarship is available to students who reside or attend school in Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington or Wisconsin.

Applicants must be a high school senior or college freshman, sophomore or junior involved in the potato-growing industry or a member of 4-H or FFA.

Applications must include name, address, phone number, email address, school name, school year, major or intended major, agriculture involvement, verification of the applicant’s involvement or previous involvement in 4-H or FFA, declaration of involvement in the potato-growing industry; and an essay, not to exceed 700 words on the topic, How can the potato industry build and sustain consumer demand for potatoes?”

Applications must be submitted by Aug. 30. Applications can be sent to:
