Syngent Insecticide Approved for Potatoes

EPA has approved Syngenta’s Endigo insecticide for use in potatoes. Endigo is an enhanced product with two modes of action that combines knockdown and residual activity for sucking and chewing pests. It protects potatoes against key pests throughout the season including Colorado potato beetle, aphids, potato leafhopper, European corn borer and potato tuberworm, according to Syngenta.

Syngenta recommends field scouting and applications of Endigo at 2.5 fluid ounces to 4.5 fluid ounces per acre, usually at intervals of seven or more days, when insect populations reach locally determined economic thresholds.
