Sivanto receives EPA registration

Bayer CropScience has received registration from the EPA for its new Sivanto insecticide.

Sivanto was developed to control sucking pests on fruits and vegetables and will be available for the 2015 growing season.

Sivanto is a systemic insecticide for control of sucking pests such as aphids, whiteflies, hoppers, psyllids and other insects. It acts on all mobile stages including larvae and adults.

Sivanto is based on the active ingredient flupyradifurone, which belongs to the new chemical class of butenolides. Sivanto has received the reduced risk designation by the EPA.
