Feb 20, 2013Reinke introduces VRI, adds new features to Ontrac
February’s been a busy month for Reinke. The Deshler, Neb., irrigation company recently introduced variable rate irrigation (VRI) into its product line and added new features to Ontrac, a line of remote management products.
VRI is a data-driven irrigation product, designed to improve water use efficiency and conserve energy while working to optimize quality and yield for growers.
Reinke VRI represents the first integrated agronomic VRI when packaged with the Reinke Precision Management touch screen control panel and Navigator GPS.
Reinke has upgraded and expanded its Ontrac product line. Previously, Ontrac was available only as a satellite-based communication. It now includes Ontrac Radio, Ontrac Satellite Plus and Ontrac Satellite with improved reception.
Ontrac Radio broadcasts from a base station, a home or office computer, allowing users to securely access, control and monitor irrigation systems using any web-enabled device.
Ontrac Satellite Plus and Satellite offer varying degrees of remote management options. Both products are designed for areas with poor cell reception or where growers are separated a great distance from their pivots.
The Ontrac product line is designed to readily integrate into Reinke and non-Reinke machines.
