Jeremie Pavelski is the recipient of Spudman’s 2014 Emerging Leader Award. Bayer CropScience sponsors the award.
Pavelski received the award at the National Potato Council’s annual banquet in San Antonio, Texas.
Pavelski, 31, is the president of Heartland Farms, based in Hancock, Wis. He is a fifth-generation potato farmer from Wisconsin. His family has been growing potatoes in Wisconsin’s Central Sands area since 1873.
He and his wife, Alicia, live in Arkdale. The March issue of Spudman will feature a profile of Jeremie and Alicia.
The Emerging Leader Award is presented annually to an individual in the potato industry who is 35 years old or younger.
