NPPGA meetings, expo set for February

The Northern Plains Potato Growers Association‘s Research Reporting Conference, Annual Business Meeting and Chairman’s/MSA Banquet will be held at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The International Crop Expo, featuring farm equipment and commercial exhibits, follows Feb. 22-23.

The events begin with the NPPGA Research Reporting Conference at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The speaker schedule can be downloaded here. The NPPGA Annual Business Meeting will follow at 3:30 p.m., followed by the NPPGA Chairman’s and Meritorious Service Award Banquet with a 5:30 p.m. social hour and banquet at 6:30 p.m.

At the banquet NPPGA will be posthumously honoring Jim Vistad with the Meritorious Service Award. NPPGA will also be passing the gavel from current Chairman Lonnie Spokely to Chairman-elect Greg Campbell. The entertainment for the evening will again be “Jazz on Tap” playing background music.

NPPGA will again be offering free registrations to all NPPGA grower/members. All banquet attendees must pre-register to assist in event planning. Registration and event schedules can be downloaded, printed, filled out and mailed back to NPPGA.
