Steve Holton is the new director of corporate and public relations for the National Potato Council (NPC). Holton replaces Mark Szymanski, who has become the communications director for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
Holton has more than 10 years combined work experience as a legislative aide, public relations professional and writer.
Holton has spent time as a legislative aide with the U.S. Committee on Agriculture and for Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) during her time as a committee member of the House Committee on Agriculture.
He will oversee NPC’s media outreach, grassroots initiatives, social media programs and coordinate the potato industry’s public policy messaging.
Holton is a native of Camilla, Georgia, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and political science from the University of Alabama.
