New York Potato Acreage Decreases

New York potato growers planted an estimated 18,000 acres of potatoes in 2008, according to Stephen Ropel, U.S. Agriculture Department National Agricultural Statistics Service, New York Field Office director, a 5 percent decrease from 2007. Jamestown Post-Journal
