Jul 3, 2013Michigan growers bid farewell to Ben Kudwa
Michigan’s potato growers recently honored Ben Kudwa with a retirement party after 27 years of serving the Michigan potato industry.
Kudwa was executive director of the Michigan Potato Industry Commission (MPIC) from May 1986 to Aug. 31, 2012. Kudwa was succeeded by Mike Wenkel as MPIC executive director but continued in an advisory position through June.
This past January, Kudwa also received the 2012 Potato Man for All Seasons honor at the National Potato Council’s annual awards banquet.
