Michigan shoppers will find plenty of locally grown potatoes in grocer bins — and in bags of chips this fall. Thanks to preventative measures taken by farmers, Michigan’s $156 million potato crop has largely been spared from a new strain of fungus that devastated the state’s $34 million tomato harvest.
