Sep 17, 2015International potato growers are looking forward to FRUIT LOGISTICA
The harvest for stock potatoes will begin in the next few weeks in Germany and DKHV President Thomas Herkenrath is looking forward to the new season.
If the quality of the harvest is good, he expects to see an improvement in market development compared to last year when a record crop resulted in significant price pressures. Early potatoes were relatively scarce this year and stocks are depleted. At the same time, marketing challenges continue to play an important role and there is a demand for innovative ideas to counteract the decline in potato consumption.
FRUIT LOGISTICA has become a trading platform and force behind the international potato industry.
Wilfried Wollbold, new FRUIT LOGISTICA global brand manager since the beginning of September, is satisfied with the current status of exhibition space reservations for FRUIT LOGISTICA, which takes place from February 3-5.
“The demand for space at the upcoming trade fair is already well above the extremely high level we experienced in 2015, said Wollbold. “Exhibitors and visitors can look forward to three high-intensity business days at the trade fair along with interesting opportunities to explore the latest themes in the international fresh produce trade.””
