Market research firm BrandSpark International has recognized Idahoan Premium Steakhouse Soups as a winner of a 2017 Best New Product Award (BNPA), in its Food and Beverage consumer product category. The BNPAs cover four major consumer product categories: Food and Beverage, Beauty and Personal Care, Household and Kids.

Idahoan Premium Steakhouse Soups is one of 31 winners recognized with a 2017 BNPA, across all four categories, and was the only potato consumer product recognized. Idahoan is located in the Snake River Plain in eastern Idaho, and was started in 1960 by a group of local businessmen and potato growers who teamed up to produce a line of potato products. Today, the company offers over 180 product configurations for foodservice, retail, ingredient and export channels, according to Idahoan’s website.

The winning products were determined by the votes and opinions of more than 10,000 American consumers, including thousands of verified purchasers who actually bought the products with their own money, Brandspark International said. All voters participated in a nationwide survey conducted by independent marketing research firm BrandSpark International. The 2017 survey featured more than 100 product nominees.
