Grippo Foods recalls potato chips

Grippo Foods of Cincinnati has initiated a nationwide recall of all bags and boxes of their plain, bar-b-q, cheddar cheese with a touch of jalapeno, hot dill pickle, sweet Bermuda onion and salt & vinegar potato chip varieties.

The products have the potential to contain metal fragments. To date no injuries have been reported.

The recall includes bagged chips with an expiration date of May 20 and before and 1.5 lbs. boxes of chips with an expiration date of April 29 and before. The date code is located in the upper right corner of the package. The products were distributed in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois beginning Sept. 15, 2012 and March 14, 2013.
