May 30, 2014Fresh potatoes in WIC clears one hurdle
The House Appropriations Committee approved a bill with language that would include fresh potatoes in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program.
The committee approved the Fiscal Year 2015 House Agriculture Appropriations bill by a vote of 31-18.
The bill now awaits consideration by the full House of Representatives.
