Potato farmers in northeast Florida have suffered an estimated $45 million in crop loss from flooding caused by four days of nonstop rain, officials said Thursday.
Florida is in the middle of its potato harvest season and many fields in Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties are under several feet of water. Some areas of Flagler County have received 2 1/2 feet of rain since last Sunday. Miami Herald
