Dewulf purchases Miedema

The Dewulf group, based in Roeselare, Belgium, has announced plans to purchase Miedema, based in Winsum, Netherlands.

Miedema, started in 1940, has 111 employees and is known for development and production of technology for storage and sorting machines.

Dewulf produces about 300 potato and carrot harvesters annually. The company has more than 150 employees with production sites in Roeselare, Belgium and Brasov, Romania.

The acquisition is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2014.
