Chefs to present unique recipes at Potato Expo

Following the inaugural Spud Nation Throwdown, the 2017 version will be a live cook-off where international chefs will showcase their “passion for potatoes” in front of Potato Expo attendees.

Led by host Phil Lempert, expect a fusion of tastes, cultures and flavors as a diverse quartet of chefs from Asia and Latin America incorporate potatoes into dishes inspired by their distinctive culinary experiences.

Each chef’s recipe will utilize one form of potato including frozen, dehydrated, and fresh. The chefs – Tony de Graaf (Taiwan), Doris Goldgewicht (Costa Rica), Ian Kittichai (Thailand) and Wandy Robles (Dominican Republic) – are known for their passion for food and creative takes on their local cuisine. In their country they are known for their potato creations.

A panel of judges will decide who walks away as Top Spud with the grand cash prize.
