Big Idaho potato truck to keep rolling

The message that they grow them big in Idaho” will keep on rolling for another two years. The Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) has decided that the great big Idaho potato truck will continue to take its message across the U.S. for two more years.

Frank Muir, IPC president and CEO, made the announcement at the Idaho Grower Shippers Association 86th annual meeting in Sun Valley.

The trailer with the giant potato was built three years ago to celebrate the 75-year anniversary of the IPC. The truck has continued to bring the message, “Idaho potatoes, we grow them big” across the nation every spring and summer.

“It draws a crowd everywhere it goes,” Muir said. “You could be 2 years old or you could be 80 years old, you’ll love the truck and you’ll want to have your picture taken with it.”
