AgSafe and Dupont Crop Protection presented the inaugural All Ways Safe Agricultural Safety Awards. The awards recognize companies and individuals for their dedication in keeping agricultural workers safe in California.
Awards were presented in four categories during the recent 2012 AgSafe Conference in Monterey, Calif.
The Diego Chateau and Estate Wines Company, Vineyard Department, of Calistoga, Calif., was presented the large company (51 or more employees) award. The California Ammonia Company (CALAMCO), of Stockton, Calif., was presented with the small company award. Gloria S. Bell, employee relations and safety manager for Driscoll’s Strawberry Associates, of Watsonville, Calif., received the safety professional award. Arturo Ramirez, ranch foreman for the Paramount Farming Company, of Bakersfield, Calif., was given the production supervisor award.
